Hello,
I have the Ultimate plan and am expecting 300mbps down. I cannot get more than 170mbps (even using Cox speediest) which is what I had with my previous modem. I purchased the 6183 to get 300.
Any advice?
Thanks,
Brian

Is this a wired or wireless result? What speeds do you receive if you bypass the router and connect directly to the modem?

Hi NicholeC, thanks for your help.
These tests are wired via cat5e direct from the cable modem (SB6183) to the back of my MacMini. I have removed my router and all switches, etc from the network. This is a new ethernet cable and I did the same test with my MacBook Pro and had similar results.

Not sure if this means anything?:

Thanks for running the speed test. I was able to locate your account and I'd like to update the service code. This will cause the modem to reset. Is anytime okay?
Thanks,

Thanks! I just did a speediest and all is well now. I really appreciate your assistance.
I'd like to suggest that the Cox back-end system be updated to automatically apply these codes when the customer is on the right plan(s) and upgrades to the necessary equipment. Perhaps you have a suggestions box or some way to communicate that to the right folks @ Cox.
It certainly would have made this transition more efficient for both Cox and myself.
