Technician disconnected wrong address

Cox technician came by while no one was home and disconnected my drop. Left a ticket saying the wiring inside the house was causing interference and I'd have to schedule a technician to come back. Called and explained my modem is wired directly to the drop via a new coax run external to the house. They insisted that the house wiring which was connected to NOTHING was the problem and they'd have to charge me to replace it. Tried to cancel for three days before I finally had to record the call in order to get them to cancel. Oh and when their technician called my cell, the number came up as an escort service.

Just a guess, but maybe you have a bad ground or something else that is giving off interference. I would get their total care for a month and have a technician out to investigate.

A bad connections, a barrel connector that's loose, a bad coax, you could be getting signals into the wiring, causing interference as well. ALSO, a bad modem could cause the issue. FYI 10$ a month for Cox Complete Care, and the service call costs nothing extra.

Are there any restrictions for how long you have to keep the Cox Complete Care package for it to not bill you? For example, can you cancel it right after the appointment? Or do you have to keep it for a few months?

At least 3 months from the time of the service call, or they charge the cost of the call.
