Internet dropouts - where are you located?

I've been having intermittent internet dropouts for the past 4 days.    I just got off the phone with a CSR who was clueless.  He kept insisting that it was a wireless problem even though I was connected directly to the modem.

It seems from posts that  other customers have been having similar problems that started in the same time frame.  Some people have mentioned that they have been told that maintenance by Cox is the problem.  If you are having a dropout problem that has started showing up within the past week, please post your location here so we can figure out if there is a geographic connection to the problem.  I am in Orange County, California.
