Data use jumping up

Yes it seems to be jumping up again.. it did the same last year at about this time until the modems were updated..I’ve done nothing different, no new devices.. so what’s up with that.

    Freebie? Actually no , I pay for 1024 gigs... it’s called my internet plan .. and I’m not talking about the amount of gigs I get. I was speaking about the sudden jump in usage above the average. This started to happen last year around October and went on for several months that many people complained about in the forum. It was only corrected when modem firmware was updated. Now I see a sudden uptick in data usage again with no explanation.i also use MAC filtering to allow only my devices to connect

        me too......doesn't everybody get the 1024? are you going over?

        fwiw: i don't even look at how much i'm using & i stream music from 2 fm websites all day long.

        i'm new to the forum but a longtime cox customer.
