This works, thanks so much. I wasted hours trying to get this to work with Outlook. There is no excuse for Cox not providing the necessary and correct steps to get this to work in Outlook. Huge failure on Cox. I was very close to switching to Verizon because of this, and am still thinking about it.

Excellent - glad it was of help! I did ask Yahoo to provide this info in the e-mail announcing the transfer but sure it looks like they did not do this. E-mail is actually misleading in terms "if you want to keep using this platform". I can see Cox not being familiar with Yahoo processes - but they should have learned these steps before - not like they did not have enough time 😉!

I am not able to give you a 'Like" for some reason. Cox, it seems, has completely abandoned any interest or assistance in this so-called "transition". We are out flapping in the wind on our own now no matter how many years we were loyal customers. Now, we at the mercy of Yahoo techies. I spent five hours with one of them--a nice fellow--on the phone, but he wasn't completely knowledgeable about what absolutely needs to be done. I still can't send mail our using Yahoo's server, although the fellow made it so that I can received Cox.net email on my Mac laptop using "Mail". For some strange reason I can sent out mail using Googe's server and iCloud. I want to contact them again, but I'm afraid they'll mess up even what I am now able to do.

I had the same problem with one of my Cox emails. This is what I did to solve this problem after 2 hours with Yahoo Techs who indicated it may be an Outlook issue:
- I have used Windows "Repair online" feature for Office (2016) via lower left corner Microsoft Icon, right mouse button, Apps and Features (first item).
- I have renamed the file with issue as xx_old.pst in the Outlook Files folder in My Documents
- I have created new file with the same email address xx.pst using Account Settings in Outlook, Data Files, Add menu item
- I have added the xx_ols.pst to the Outlook Folders the same way. This way I can move any email from old to the new email folder in Outlook.
This fixed "unable to find recipient " message I was getting when trying to send any email out from that address.
