Sound cuts out intermittently.

For approximately 3 weeks the sound on Cox TV cuts in and out intermittently for a brief second or two as if dialog was bleeped.  This does not happen if I switch input to antenna.  I know others have had similar problem.  What has been the solution, if any?

The first place I'd start is by doing some experimentation with the HDMI connection. Testing different cables or different ports on the TV would be a good start and see which way the problem goes.
