List of errors:
After a program was recorded, was able to playback the entire recording without issue one time only. A second attempt to play back the recording gave error code 2.1.2.1
A program was recorded while also watching live without issue, but even the first playback failed with error code 2.1.2.1
A corrupted recording showed 1171 minutes, but only had about 6 minutes of recording and skipped to end.
A Monday 10 pm recording played back for about 5 minutes, the switched to a prior Friday 6 am program that was not recorded.
We have had corrupted programs ever since Cox switched us from Motorola to Cisco box. I've exchange the Cisco box 3 or 4 times, and all of them have had the same corrupted recording issues.

If the 3 or 4 cable boxes were exchanged over a long period of time, then you've been very unlucky. But if you exchanged all of them within a short period of time to fix corrupted recorded programs, it's more likely that you have a signal issue. You should schedule a tech visit to check your signal strength, including at the tap. If your cable comes in from a pole, be sure to specify when scheduling the appointment that you need a tech with a ladder.
