NBCUniversal will broadcast the Olympics on the following channels and website.
•NBC
•NBCSN
•CNBC
•USA
•NBCOlympics.com
In addition to broadcast coverage on these channels all of the NBC channels will be available for streaming in the Contour app and On Demand will provide extensive coverage of all the Olympic events and highlights so you'll be able to catch up on anything you may have missed.

colleen,
can you tell me why i can't get authorized to watch http://stream.nbcolympics.com/figure-skating-mens-short-program? or other ice skating streams?
it says it requires a "simple one-time authorization process." in other words, i have to prove i pay SOMEBODY to watch anything. but of course with cox...nothing is "easy!"
i select cox, i even managed to get it to stop automatically loading user name & password so i could make sure it's the correct password (having changed it 15 times in the last 6 months...remember me from the internet and apps forum?) which i typed in myself.....the same combo that allowed me to post here! and it just won't "take." the cox page flipped out 2 or 3 times then it took me back to the nbcsports page where it still says "verify now."
oh, and i can't live stream either.
i thank them for bringong home the point that i'm not getting what i pay for tho. i wasn't aware! :)

I apologize for the delayed response. I just tested authentication with my own account at that link and was able to sign in successfully using Chrome (Version 64.0.3282.167.) Have you cleared cache and cookies or tried a different browser?

Hi Socal,
I'm sorry that you're having problems with the authentication process at http://www.nbcolympics.com. It isn't Cox that requires folks to prove they pay for TV content. NBC and all the other network TV broadcasters require that folks prove they subscribe to their content. Per the FAQ on http://www.nbcolympics.com/watch-live:
Authentication supports our ongoing investment in sports programming for all of our platforms and is consistent with industry trends. Digital platforms require significant investment, and authentication allows us to capture the value of that investment, which in turn allows us to continue to provide cable/satellite/telco/live streaming service customers with high-quality sports coverage wherever and whenever they want at no additional cost. Of course, NBC Sports continues to make premier live sporting events and other sports programming available to all viewers on free over-the-air television through the NBC broadcast network.
Is Chrome your primary browser? Are you trying to access NBC Olympic content on a computer or a mobile device? If so, which device? Does your device meet the NBC’s device and operating system requirements listed below?
Minimum Web Browser Compatibility:
Supported Connected Devices:
Mobile Devices with the following operating systems:
iOS
Android

Yes, chrome is my preferred browser and it just updated a week or so ago. I'm on a Mac desktop, partitioned to run win 7. I don't think any of that conflicts.

Are you able to login and view on a different device? Have you tried signing into watchtv.cox.com? If not please try signing in there and let us know the results.

signed into watchtv.cox.com just fine, but can't find what i was looking for. which is a full replay of the men's short program skate. that site seems to be all about current stuff.
got verified just fine on my ipad mini for the replay segment, but...it's a first gen (before there WERE "gens") and it doesn't have room to run. it keeps reloading.
so i guess i'm just out of luck.
i appreciate the suggestions tho.

We want you to be able to enjoy the Olympic content. What happens if you are in the MAC OS on your desktop?

oh my. it's been so long since i booted into that that i don't even have the correct ios! i was told that their computers were golden & that's why i got this! there's a volunteer thing i do that requires a windows based software. it would take me a while to get up & running there.
BUT here's my incentive to go there! which i've been saying i'd do for years.
i don't understand why i can "buy" 30 mins of time to view a stream on ios, but it fails in chrome & i.e.
cox really needs to to consider more options when they integrate themselves on all things. email has presented these same challenges. it works under "x" conditions, but not under "y" conditions. there are lots of combinations & permutations of operating system & browser & mail clients. cox tends to cut corners & not test them all.
my last post on another thread for cox.net or .com login was met with a "we are not aware of a chrome issue." and yet...i gave the proof!

I'm not sure why it would appear you could purchase streaming time in one operating system and not another. I know if your browser and whatever protocols required by the website are not up to date it can cause trouble that wouldn't have a readily obvious cause.
All of our offerings and benefits are thoroughly tested and we work to identify and resolve any issues as quickly as we can.
