Guide for TV5Monde an hour off since change to EST

Since the change from Daylight Saving to EST the Guide for Channel 516 TV5Monde has been an hour off. The current content is consistently for one hour later than the time shown in the Guide. This effects both watching in real time and for DVR recordings which start an hour later than the desired content. The issue was reported to Cox tech support several days ago. After multiple restarts of our equipment they insisted on sending a tech to our house to check our modem and DVR. This is ridiculous as it is clearly an upstream issue. I have also reported the problem to TV5Monde customer support but have had no response. Please refer this to someone who can understand and fix the issue.

Hello,

I'm very sorry to hear that your box is off by one hour. I'd like to help. Sending a technician was the right course of action. It's not always an upstream issue. There could be something with the box which is causing it to not update. In those cases the technician usually replaces the box. You can also take the box to any of your local Cox stores to replace it as well if you wish. Please contact us through cox.help@cox.com, a social media platform (Facebook, Instagram, X), by chat at https://www.cox.com/residential/contactus.html or by calling us at 1 (800) 234-3993 if you wish to set up an appointment to have it replaced.

@JuanC

Sending a technician would be worse than useless. I explained quite clearly why it has to be an upstream problem and not local to our equipment. The problem is only on Channel 516. Any issue with the time on our DVR would affect all operations. Please escalate the issue to someone who can understand and fix it.

Program listings are most likely off an hour for that channel because TV5Monde failed to update program data sent to providers from DST to ST.  Their headquarters is in Paris, France.  They may not have gotten the memo about the time change.   Cox probably accepts data as sent and doesn't convert start times.  Until TV5Monde makes the change, schedule programs for that channel an hour later than indicated in the program guide.

Whatever the source of the issue, it has finally been corrected as of a couple of days ago. Thanks to those who commented, except for the rather ridiculous Cox party line insistance that we needed a technician to come to our house.
