Scheduled outage on first day of school!

Why is Cox scheduling an outage from 6am-5pm on the first day of school Monday 8/24?  Clark county public schools begin online/ virtual classes Monday and the kids are required to attend.  This is really the last thing we need to experience on an already stressful day. Why can’t they schedule this on the weekend or after school hours?  What options do we have to ensure our children do not miss their first day of school?
