Poor Upload speed for weeks

I have been having periods of horrible upload speed for weeks during the same period of time everyday. The time of day is typically "peak hours" but the decline in service is so bad it is completely unacceptable for me to be paying $150 a month just to not be able to do the things I want to do on the internet during the only hours I am able to be on. I have gone through multiple modems and even when connected via an ethernet cord the problem still persists. At this point I have no idea what to do as Cox is the only available provider in my area.

There are a few things you can try, if you haven't already. If you have any splitters, replace them, as well as cable wires. If you have a splitter not being used, remove it, get it out of your wiring. Also, if you have wall plates, there is a barrel connecter in them replace the barrel connectors as well, as they can actually go bad. If all these things don't help, it may be necessary to get a Cox Tech out. IF the issue is the delivery of the signal to your home, it is repaired at no charge to you, if it is an issue with home wiring, splitters/connectors, etc etc, there may be a service charge for the technician, unless you have a service called, Cox Complete Care.
