Negative remark on credit report from cox!

Hello,

So I cancelled my service however there were some charges that weren't visible to me upfront. Cox ended up sending those charges to collection agency and they are on my credit report! Is there any way I can get it removed from my credit report? I paid whatever was due as soon as I found out about this. I would really appreciate if there's a way I can talk to someone at Cox for this to be removed from my credit report. Thanks!
