Is there any option that will allow for WPA, WPA2 connection? I have a device that does not recognize WPA2 and I cannot connect to a non-broadcasting SSID.

Tablet connection issues with WPA2 protocol.

You set your router to WPA2?  You have a device not supporting WPA2?  They can't connect wirelessly.  Wired, yes...wireless, no.

One can connect to a non-broadcasting SSID.  They'd just have to manually enter the SSID and key.

Unfortunately, it is a table and there is no wired connection.  The router has only one protocol and that is WPA2 and I need WPA.  The tablet will not recognize a non-broadcasting SSID.  Is there a way to do a guest login and go to a webpage?

A tablet can connect to a non-broadcasting network, but that's not important right now.

What's the make and model of your tablet?

Actually it will not connect to a non-broadcasted network.  I have tried more times than I care to mention.  The make is Lenovo and the model is M10.  There was an update to the tablet and prior to that, I was able to connect to my WPA2 WiFi.

What I am looking for is why we do not have an option to have something other than WPA2 and None for security.

Okay...so your tablet is compatible with WPA2...just not now because it's broken.

You can try to connect to your WiFI via Bluetooth.

All options for your wireless network are within your router.  Most still support both WEP and WPA.  What's the make and model of your wireless router?

Yes, it seems that way.  I've never used bluetooth to connect to WiFi, I'll have to look that up.  I have the Cox Gigablast modem/router. I'm unsure as to the make and model.
