Is Cox still refusing to give home users static IP addresses, even for an extra fee?
I was told about a year (or more) ago that Cox would not give static IP addresses to residential customers, only business customers. Is this still true? If so, I guess I'm going to be sticking with AT&T and Verizon. I am considering adding Cox as a secondary ISP, but only if I can get static IPs on a residential account. Otherwise, your service is simply unusable for me. I'm not going to be gouged by your exorbitant business plan pricing just so I can get some static IP addresses.

Not the solution you want but just a suggestion. Asus DDNS on most of their mid-range and up models offers a certificate service with Let's Encrypt. At least you can get your DDNS site to display on a browser remotely with the green padlock https. With that said business service has no data cap so if you use a lot of data and need a static IP it's worth a look.
