That does appear to be longer than normal to be out of service due to an outage. If coax connections are secure and the modem has been rebooted to no avail. This is not an issue with my coax cable! There’s been an outage in my area for more than 24 hours now. This is ridiculous! And we get no explanation from Cox about what happened and when it will be fixed!
My internet has been out over 24 hours and I work remotely from home using Teams with video. My Verizon Hotspot can't keep up. Also my son had homework last night and tonight with no internet. Can I get some sort of a refund on my bill?
There is no estimated time to have to outage over. Please advise!

Medical devices, security and other safety equipment down for 18+ hours! My hotspot is hardly enough to keep up and going over my plan! Is this a normal solution? Because i came here for consistency but since I’ve been here, it’s been a horrific experience! I feel like I’m being forced to jump ship, never experience an outage this long from any provider!!!
aznordy, please check the coax to the modem for security, then reboot the modem by removing and reconnecting the power cable. Sometimes, following any network concerns. A modem may need to be manually rebooted to restore service. If this does not help. Email us at cox.help@cox.com for assistance. -Dan
Why is there no information or update as to the cause of the internet being down or an actual time it will be up. It's insane that a service can just vanish without any communication as to why. We are currently 24 hours without service and this has to be something major for Cox as my service has generally been fine over the last years. Some real update should be shared.
The updates are provided by our field teams. As they submit them, they will be shared via the app and our website. We are truly sorry for the frustration and aggravation. Please let us know if there is anything else we may assist you with at this time.
While I appreciate the moderators responding, none of those responses offer any information. We should know what caused the outage and what specific actions are being done to resolve it. If I have a job and then just don't do it, I can't tell the people who pay me that I know about the issue and to please check an app for updates. I would need to provide some sort of resolution. Having an outage like this in a world where we are nothing more than different methods of communication is completely unacceptable without some sort of explanation

My internet is still down! Almost 24 hours now. My kids all have late homework and my husband can’t work again today!!
