How to delete my Panoramic Box Wifi Point.

Not sure if I worded this accurately. I'll explain in better detail....I own a Panoramic Wifi Gateway. My issue is that it did not extend to all the ends of my house for wifi signal, so I connected my Google Wifi system to the Cox Panoramic. This seemed to work fine, it extended the coverage greatly however I've been having some issues having two wifi points (original and google network). My questions are can I delete the original network created through Cox Panoramic box? ....and if I do will I not be able to use the Cox Wifi app with all the features?

So you have 2 wireless networks (SSIDs)  in your home:  Panoramic and Google, right?  You feel since Google wireless covers your entire home, you should disconnect the Panoramic wireless?

You can disable the Panoramic by configuring it to Bridge Mode.  Bridge Mode essentially transfers network data from the modem within Panoramic and sends it to your Google router.  Meaning, no networking from the Panoramic.  Google will then do all your networking.  Therefore, the Cox WiFi app wouldn't or couldn't do anything for you.

If you want to keep the Panoramic WiFi, you could configure the Google as an Access Point of the Panoramic.  Meaning, it's on the Panoramic SSID to act as an wireless extender of the Panoramic.

Thanks this is very helpful. I think option #2 makes more sense. This way I would use the original Cox wireless network with the wireless extension benefit and be able to use the app options. So I imagine I have to reach out to google about instructions how to set it up as an access point? Thanks again

Two thoughts:  Isn't the Google a better router than the Panoramic?  If the wireless of the Panoramic doesn't reach the ends of your house but the Google does, why use the Panoramic?

Do you need the Panoramic?  What would you lose if you returned it to Cox?

Google is router only (no modem). My old modem was not very powerful I was getting half the speed. Then Cox had a nice promotion offering the Panoramic for free so I took it. Prior to this I had a similar set up old Motorola modem connected to Google wifi. I think I misunderstood thinking I could use original Cox network with google wired into Panaromic still getting the wireless extension of the network. Thanks!....forgot to mention that I'm using 3 google wifi points spread out through the house, that's out the network is much better spread out through out the house.
