Compensation for Outages

The internet has been out every night this week. If Cox is aware of these multiple “intermittent outages” in our area for days then you should be compensating people who can’t use a service they need and pay for!

Hello raerae3693,

The Cox family values your business and wants you to remain connected at all times and aware when we're working on restoration efforts. Cox has added network alerts to the Cox App for awareness and estimations. As crews draw closer to a solution, an estimation may change. If you are finding there is an issue at a time there isn't a network alert, then our support staff may need to help investigate to be sure we're working out a solution that keeps you connected.

We have several avenues of support available to receive you for help, review your account, and assist with outage credit. Our list of contact for Cox residential is here www.cox.com/residential/contactus.html, or you may email us at Cox.Help@cox.com with your name, complete address, and include the URL to your forum comment.

@DustinP Everyday this week outages are being caused and the cox notifications saying intermittent interruptions until a certain time which actually just means no internet. It’s been out all week and you guys are aware obviously and should credit customers knowing we aren’t able to use the service you provide. Instead you wait  until we call and complain when again you are aware your service is down.
