Bad latency and packet loss with cable connection during pandemic. Would DSL be an improvement?

For about a month now ive been experiencing the same terrible lag as everyone else and am desperate for a solution. I dont care about DL and UL speeds i just need good latency. Would DSL be any improvement or does it run off the same nodes that cable does?

I would recommend filling a FCC complaint: https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us/articles/115002206106-Internet-Complaints
DSL should have more stable ping but may be higher overall, Cox is hybrid fiber coax where they have fiber to a node and then coax from the node to houses(this is cheaper than actual fiber and can have a lot of problems when they over saturate nodes). This whole situation wouldn't of happened if Cox didn't oversell packages on the insufficient infrastructure.
