Area Internet Outage Unresolved Will There Be Discounts on Next Bill for the Time Not Remedied? Highly Doubtful

There has been an internet outage in my area all day.  Resolution time has repeatedly moved to the right from the a.m. to now 8:50 p.m.  Having Cox cable and also requiring wi-fi, I could not work and will likely not be able to watch the World Series Game 6 tonight.  I surely would like to see my bill discounted for the time the service is down. However, unfortunately, I realize that is fantasy.

We have been without service for 6 days. No sign of getting it back anytime soon. Customer Service said that they need to get permits from the City of Goodyear and that could take some time. What??? I find it hard to believe that the City does not give over the counter permits to fix a repair. My guess is that either they are lying about it being a repair, or they are just not prioritizing the problem. Either way, completely unacceptable. Time to look into the cheaper 5G options out there. So disappointing. I can’t work remotely, couldn’t watch the World Series and now no NFL. Very disappointed. Buyer beware!11

Hello. I'm very sorry to hear that work has not been completed yet. Yes, unfortunately it can take up to 8 to 10 weeks for the city to process and approve permits. It depends on the workload that the city has. I can certainly check for you. Can you please provide your full name and complete street address?

We are still without service. There is no way that for an emergency repair that it would take 8-10 weeks to get a permit from the city. That might be true for new service to an area or new construction. Are you seriously suggesting that we wait 8-10+ weeks to get service back? This is integral to our livelihood. I hope the rest of your subscribers read this. This is beyond comprehension. If that is the best you got, good bye Cox!

Prime time TV streaming is interrupted at my house nearly every other night.  Our internet spped is fine, but Cox internet dependability is ridiculously poor in our neighborhood.  I constantly check in with neighbors and our security guards and they loose service regularly, particularly in high demand times.
