150 GB data in one day, how is this possible?

Hello all,

Looking for help.

I received an email stating that I am close to my data cap limit of 1TB.

In January,  i have been averaging 20 to 30 GB daily but on a Sunday I hit 150GB .

I have my network locked by MAC addresses,  so it's not an intruder. I cut the cord to cable two days prior and only kept Internet.  I cannot figure out why on a Sunday,  I burned 150GB.

I called tech support and they have no clue

Any ideas??

@FrankieFrank, please ensure all of your devices' operating systems are up-to-date with the latest software and are also free of any malware or viruses. Malware and viruses can use up data without your knowledge. Streaming content in 4K can also use up a lot of data as well. Here is some more information regarding Cox data usage:

We also offer a data usage calculator on the website, as well as additional data plans for a monthly fee.

This is what I am seeing as odd guys.

For all this time and then on a Sunday have that much data? I have a feeling traffic meter is off.

Only thing that changed that week was that I removed cable TV and just kept Internet. Odd.
