100% Packet Loss Intermittently

My name is Brock. I have been having connection issues for about 8 weeks. I am experiencing 100% packet loss for about a minute at a time several times a day (random times not tied to heavy usage. I have set up ping plotter to ping 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8, as well as my router, and another device on my router. I am not seeing any packet loss on the LAN/router level during the time frame; only when trying to reach the internet. I have screenshots of all the pingplotter data as well as the corresponding message that displays in the cable modem logs at the same time as the packet loss (Warning    RNG-RSP CCAP Commanded Power in Excess of 6 dB Below the Value Corresponding to the Top of the DRW). I had a Cox tech our about a month ago and there was no improvement. They changed some connectors and added a splitter to increase the upstream power level but I have not had any improvement. I also tried a different brand/model modem and had the same issue. Can we possibly have someone check the node or look into getting a new drop to my home because having unreliable internet is getting old? Thanks for any help that can be offered I look forward to having a stable internet connection. Thanks!

Hi, there. I am sorry to hear about your service issue. If you're seeing loss beyond your local subnet and not on your local subnet, then this is likely beyond a forum post; however, I am glad to assist. Are you able to log into your modem and view the power levels? Send us an email at Cox.Help@cox.com with this message and your address and full name. We want ot help you get this fixed. -Chris

Verify all your connections, replace cables and splitters. When you lose connectivity, what are the lights on the modem doing?
