Why shouldn't I cancel a cable provider that fails to show a local team playoff game?
I'd love an answer. Right now I'm pretty much certain to get rid of, and tell all my friends that Cox is so incompetently run that they chose an April Baltimore baseball game over and NBA playoff game from DC for their northern VA customers.

Very upsetting. I spend a lot of money for my cable. I EXPECT to be able to watch a Wizards playoff game. In Falls Church I tried channel 274 and local tv was blocked. Not Cox fault. I downloaded the CSN app and Cox wasn't even a participating provider. Shouldn't a company that cared help us figure out how to watch the stupid game. I am sick of this. Nothing happens to them for not carrying the game or letting us know in advance that we are paying for sports that we can't watch.

Stop lying.
It wasn't blacked out in "Virginia". You're trying to insinuate that the state of Virginia has "contractual obligations" to not show the Wizards and Cox had nothing to do with it.
It's your contract.
You, *Cox Cable*, chose to screw your customers rather than mod a contract or make an exception.
The game was on for Verizon FIOS customers in Northern Virginia. I could have planned to watch the game at my buddies house but you didn't even have the common decency to warn your customers before you screwed them over.
By not even updating your website TV guide or your channel guide on the TV, you showed your customers what you think of them and their time.
I'll switch and so should the rest of you.
