Why no Agent Carter on On Demand? Who decides what shows go On Demand?

I am really looking forward to watching Agent Carter on ABC, and assumed that it would be available On Demand, as Agents of Shield is available that way.  But unfortunately, someone decided not to include the show in the On Demand list!

I'm super disappointed - I can't watch most shows when they're on normally, and I really rely on On Demand in order to watch them.  (We don't have the recording option, nor is getting it an option.)

I know I can watch it online, but mostly - I just want to be able to express my disappointment that Agent Carter isn't on On Demand.

Does any one know why some shows are On Demand, and some aren't?  Is it Cox that made that decision, or ABC?  Where should I be sending my email of complaint?

You didn't look far enough. "Agent Carter", in SD or HD, is available at the END of ABC's VOD program list. It's AFTER the stuff that's in alphabetical order.

Well, that's weird.  It wasn't there at all last night when we were looking for it, and just now I had to scroll through TWICE before it popped up - and even so, it's only in SD, not HD.  And it's only available until tomorrow night - which doesn't give us a lot of time (when there's plenty of shows available for months on end)!

I'm glad to know it's on On Demand - now I'm curious why it's only available for such a short amount of time.  Why only four days to catch up on Agent Carter - when we can still catch up on other shows that originally aired months ago?  I'm sure it's politics - I'm just curious what they are.

Good to know - thank you for answering, Tiffany!  I'll forward my complaint on to ABC.

...or you could just watch 2 hours of it tonight on ABC.

I could, yes.  Except I also have to bathe the kids and put them in PJs and read them their stories and sing their lullabies and convince my husband to stop watching college basketball on our one TV in the house.

So yeah, it would totally be easier to just watch the shows when the network wants me to watch them, absolutely.  If only they gave me shows I actually wanted to watch in the middle of the day, instead of stupid talk shows and game shows and other stupid pap they think housewives want to see while we're ironing and folding laundry.

(Ellen's nice and all, but honestly?  I'd rather watch Peggy Carter kick a**.)

Look, it's not that I don't appreciate the show being rerun.  I think that's fantastic - there aren't enough shows coming out of Hollywood that are shaped like Agent Carter, and it can use all the ratings it can get.  But rerunning it at the exact same time, just on a different night, doesn't really do me squat.  I know I'm not ABC's most treasured demographic (that would be males, ages 25-35, whereas I'm female, 35-45), but I'm willing to bet I'm the demographic who's probably the most interested in the show in question.

The fact is that for me - and other moms like me - On Demand is our best and most convenient way of watching the shows we most want to see - no matter how often the show is rerun.

SD and HD show up at your venue yet?

I wish there were some consistency in terms of what shows are available and when.  I also hate it when some shows are available in SD but the HD version is not.

I was going to watch Agent Carter last night until I realized ONLY episode 2 was available???  What happened to episode 1?  Looks like someone messed up and did not make episode 1 available or someone deleted episode 1 already?

Well, as Tiffany explained above, it's apparently a decision that the network makes, not necessarily Cox.  Agent Carter was available for On Demand, but only until Jan 10.  (I just finished watching a few shows on On Demand, and I can confirm that neither episode of Agent Carter was available for viewing today.  I'm not sure how you were able to watch Ep 1.)

Either way - you can still watch the episodes on abc.go.com.  It's not ideal - watching on a computer isn't as comfy as on your couch - but at least you can watch.  And no commercials!

I already used ABC's feedback system to express my displeasure about how Agent Carter has such a short time frame on On Demand - particularly when a lot of shows are on there for months at a time.  (Selfie, for instance, is available until April.)  If enough of us complain about it, then hopefully that's something ABC will change in the future.  But they won't know we're unhappy unless we tell them, so we have to speak up.

(And Domino - to answer your question, I only saw the SD for Agent Carter available on Saturday morning; no idea if HD ever showed up or not, as I wasn't able to check until after both episodes had been deleted from the feed.  But I have noticed that with other shows, often the SD version will take about 48 hours to appear after initial airtime, and the HD follows a day or so later, if at all. Not sure if that's just my Cox distributor or not, though.)

I have noticed titles are loading after letting OnDemand set for a minute.

"Agent Carter" still available in SD and HD here. Last Tuesday's eps. 2, as well as pt. 1 & pt.2 of Saturday's rerun available until 1/13. Program is now listed alphabetically (instead of at end of listings) between "AFV" and "Agents of Shield."
