Why is my contour no longer working??

i cannot pull up a recorded show on my secondary cable box.  4742HDC.   the main one works but not the one i need in the other room.  i tried rebooting.  even unplugging.   it locks up on the "loading" screen and i cannot even cancel.  have to unplug it again.  and again.  and again.  i hate contour.  seems to have a lot of problems.  Please help!!!!
