Why an outage in Buckeye?
We are experiencing currently a 4+ hour outage in Buckeye. My internet has been on/off/on all since 11AM today. I have to ask how is Cox my friend in the digital age with outage windows this long? With the new upcoming digital entertainment like Xbox One, PS4 and Wii U, there will be more people being required to be online all the time. Your service is what can turn a potentially relaxing day off into a nightmare of internet disconnects....

I agree that you should be able to enjoy consistent, reliable service. However, unforeseen issues can happen to any provider. In this case, there was damage to one of our main fiber lines in your area, a specific problem that can happen to any provider that uses fiber optic networks. The problem has been repaired, so please let us know if you have any further issues so we can troubleshoot them normally. Thanks!

Well, to add to this, it is now Saturday, May 25 6:57PM. I live in the North East section of the Sundance community in Buckeye, AZ. This is leterally just southwest of the Verrado community. When I called Cox, the automated system informed me that Verrado was experiencing service issues.
As of right now, my cable is holding a strong signal and not showing any signs of disruption. As for my internet/phone service, it's still going in and out. Since the 23rd, it would happen every 10-15min or so for as long as it takes the modem to regain a connection.
Unfortunately, unlike GoliathFox, my house and area has seen periodic interruptions like this ever since Cox updated its network software two years ago.
I truly do hope these issues get resolved soon. It doesn't make it better knowing I have such a large bill for such a moderate amount of services, but am not able to access all of what they offer (On-Demand). With Buckeye being ranked Americas 9th fastest growing town, I hope Cox can change out their network equipment in Buckeye since people are now returning here.

Funny thing is, when I clicked "Post" my access to internet went down again. I did not know it actually submitted until I got the replies to it!. However, my issue was resolved shortly after posting this.
I do have to ask how the heck the fiber was damaged? Fiber is usually ran inside armored protection. Usually the damage would have to happen at one of the ends that it is terminated from. Did some one get construction happy and break it while digging up the lines? Regardless my network is now back online. I still worry about the future of staying with COX and new devices requiring always being online. I cannot stress the importance of redundancy!
