What is going on with Webmail? Did it go dial-up?

Hi, The Cox webmail has to be the worst. What is affecting the speed? My old dial up was as fast. Is Cox support looking at what the cause is? I saw that others are complaining as well. I don't want to move over to Fios, but will if necessary. I wait eagerly for a response. Sincerely, Robert Gauvin robgg@cox.net

Looking from this end everything seems to be in order with your mailboxes.  Are you seeing performance issues to any other websites?  It might also be worth trying to clear your browser's cookies and temporary Internet files to see if that helps.

@Chris

Something has been causing significant performance degradation of various Cox services here through the web pages.  I notice it with forums.  Sometimes it can take 5 minutes to simply open up a thread.  It seems like a problem with the servers, not the network.

@BrianS

That's another topic in itself and something we continue to try and isolate.

What I'm getting at though is that the same slowdown I see with forums is very likely also happening to webmail.  I don't use webmail much at all, only to check the spam folder once in a while.

I think both of these are related, the forum and webmail performance issues.

I agree with Brian S. Everything is a waiting game. Regular email, webmail and downloading web searches.....all slow.
