What happened to Encore and Epix on demand?

My Movie Pak HD disappeared from the menu sometime yesterday also. EPIX HD and Encore HD On Demand can both be accessed by finding the channel # in the on-screen tv guide and entering them manually, but EPIX HD has been "currently unavailable" for at least 12 hours. Playing movies in Encore HD On Demand does still work.

Sorry about that! We made a few changes to the On Demand menu yesterday. We wanted to make the menu easier for customers to navigate, regardless of whether they have Rovi or Contour.

Contour customers will notice that the HD Movies folder has been renamed All HD Titles, and that the folders listed below will now be grouped under Movies:

  • HD Movies
  • Movies On Demand
  • 3D Movies
  • Movie Collections SD and HD
  • Movie Favorites SD and HD
  • Movie Previews
  • Movie Pak SD and HD
  • Special Offers

Encore and EPIX are located in the Movies/Movie Pak folders. I hope this helps!

Thanks for the notification about the menu changes, Becky, but On Demand is still malfunctioning.

First, if it makes any difference, I'm Cox Central Kansas, Wichita.

Now, when I go to On Demand/Movies/Movie Pak/Epix HD, it does NOT go to the Epix HD On Demand menu, rather it takes me to the actual live Epix HD channel (2200 here). The same thing happens if you try the Sundance TV HD link in Movie Pak, but all the other links lead to the correct On Demand menu (Encore, Flix, etc). Using the Epix HD On Demand link in "Premiums" or entering the Epix HD On Demand channel manually (1791 here) still results in the same "currently unavailable" message as has been the case for the last 18 hours or so.

Also, none of the Epix HD movies that should be available On Demand are showing up in the "Title Search" function. It's as if the entire Epix HD On Demand library has been removed completely.

Please fix this. I'm really tired of not getting what I pay for from Cox.

Thanks, this worked. You may want to inform customer service as they were totally unaware of this.

I'm in Baton Rouge, I have the following issue. I can find Movie Pak in the On Demand menu, but not the Movie Pak HD anymore. However, I can manually enter the channel and load up the channels.

Example #1- using the Guide, I see that EpixHD OD is on channel 2791. If I select that, it will load the EpixHD on demand channel

example #2 (and this one is even weirder): the guide doesn't show any channels for Encore OD at all, but by entering the menu, I can select the Encore OD (regular def) channel, and it shows a 4 digit channel (2794). If I enter the next number (2795), I then get access to EncoreHD On Demand.

This is not an isolated issue; my mother has the same services I have; and the same exact situation. No Movie Pak HD on the menu any more, but still able to access it by typing in the numbers.
