WebMail

I have been using webmail as my e-mail program and Google Chrome as my browser.  Suddenly, if I try to open my mail or send an email I get the message "Waiting for webmail.east.com.net"  Sometimes it takes over a minute to respond, other times it never responds it just disappears.  Does anyone have a fix for this problem.

My chat with the cox representative told me that webmail works better with Internet Explorer.  That sounds like a cop out to me rather than a solution.
