Weather Channel
The Weather Channel (1046) in the Santa Barbara area is no longer showing the local weather on the 8's. This seemed to happen a few days ago. This is a degradation of service. What is happening? I remember in the mid-west Dish kicked the Weather Channel off its offerings until at least the local weather would be shown on the 8's.

The HD channel uses the IntelliStar 2 system, while the SD channel still uses the original IntelliStar system. Failures in the transmitting or receiving end of the IntelliStar 2 system are not uncommon.
