Voice Mail

To disable the Voice Mail feature of your Cox home phone service;

Sign in to Phone Tools at http://phonetools.cox.net.
On the blue menu, click Settings.
Click Voice Mail to expand the options.
Next to Voice Mail On/Off, click the Change button.
Select OFF, then click Submit.

Hi sandi90, to change the number of rings:
1) Lift the handset and listen for the dial tone.
2) Press *78. Result: A stutter and a regular dial are heard.
3) Enter the number of rings, between two and nine, which are allowed before the call is forwarded to the voice mailbox. You will hear two fast busy signals indicating that this option has been changed.
4) Hang up, after listening to the confirmation tone.
