Using my email on mobile devices @Home and away

Ok so smartphone, tablet, laptop or what ever. I use a non cox email and cox forces me to use their outgoing settings, to prevent me sending spam. so when I leave home my email no longer sends as their outgoing settings don't work off my wifi.

So whenever I come and go I have to keep switching outgoing settings for all my devices. 

Any other way I can do this? Being mobile is supposed to be a convenience but cox is not working that way.

Our outgoing server should work anywhere, provided you have your mail client set to use the correct server name and one of the secure ports listed here and set to sign in to the outgoing server with the same username and password as the incoming server. If SMTP Authentication isn't enabled or the insecure port is selected, then it may not work from a non-Cox IP.

using smtp.cox.net on my home wifi it only works with "require sign in" on security none port 25 all other security with sign tosses up errors.

Are you changing the ports and what errors are you receiving?
