We had our internet upgraded today, we upgrading the modem as well. We were getting a 30 mb/s download and a 5 mb/s upload.
We upgrading from that plan to the next step up. Supposed to be getting 50 mb/s download and a 10mb/s upload.
According to speedtest.net , your test on cox and testmy.net we get about 65mb/s download (which is so wonderful) and a surprisingly worse upload speed at 4mb/s. What is wrong with this? We haven't changed anything in our setup except the modem. Which is what confuses me considering the download speed is doing exactly what i hoped it would. The upload speed is very disappointing especially when i am trying to play a video game with 600 ping.

It sounds like you upgraded from the Preferred to Premier Internet package. Since I've been unable to locate your account based off of your forum login, I'm assuming when you upgraded your modem it was to a DOCSIS 3 modem. Are your tests being run on a wireless device or a wired one?

Wireless, I am unable to set up a wired connection, I am just confused as to why the Upload speed is so low , when the download speed is working greater than expected. I stream on twitch.tv and this obviously consumes upload speed, but i really didn't have too much trouble maintaining a stable 2000 kb/s stream at 720p. Now it wont even hold above a 500kb/s with nobody else on the net. I'm not sure what the problem is. I talked to a representative the Modem was reset twice. My computer was restarted. My router was set to factory defaults and reconfigured. Everything is fine, just the upload speed is lower than it was before! I don't know what to say, I have done several tests recently after the modem resets, the upload speed HAS hit 10mb/s but it is nowhere near a stable connection, I've had tests at .15mb/s and tests at 12mb/s, but a large amount are 4-5mb/s tests, which isn't where I should be according to my plan.
