Upgraded NEW MODEM DOCSIS 3.0 but speed still caps at 32 mbps!!
Just recently upgraded my modem from Docsis 2.0 to Docsis 3.0 (motorola SB6121) but I'm still get speed 32mbps. I lived in kansas and I know cox just recently upgraded preferred customer from 25 to 50 mbps connection. Anyone having the same issue? From searching the forum it seems like most people having issue with old service code on their account.

You were correct; the modem needed the DOCSIS 3.0 service code. I've updated the code and reset your modem. I suggest that you also reset your router to make sure everything is in synch. Please let us know if you continue to have difficulties!

I think I'm having the same issue. Upgraded modem to docsis 3.0 and seemed to be capped at 30mbps. Tech support by email and phone have been no help and don't seem to know anything about this service code. Had 2 service techs at my house to check modem signal and wiring and said its all good. Is this service code my problem also?

Thank you very much! That fixed it. Now I'm getting 94mbps. 4 back and forth emails and 3 phone calls with tech support trying to get it done and got no where, they didn't even know what I meant when I asked about the service code. 1 post here and it got fixed. Will definitely come back to the forums 1st if I ever have issues again. Thank you

Last week, I upgraded to premier, however I have not seen any significant increase in my download speed (Still around 30 and 40s). Can you check my account please.

Same issue here, new Cox-supplied DOCSIS 3.0 modem w/Premier tier, download speeds max out at 20-26 Mbps...online chat w/Cox agent no help, they stated no cap/limitations on account. Can you check service codes & see if that's the issue? Thanks!

I'm going to jump on this as well, but I'm getting the same things as described in previous posts. I've upgraded to DPC3825 modem and for the last couple months I've only had between 28 and 32 mbps speeds with premier service.

My speed was at 50mb download, but I moved into another house(same modem), and I am back to 25mb download speed max.
Can you please see if something is setup wrong with my account?

We sre getting bad sppeeds have been ion phone for two days the tech that came out was a 19yr old and didnt know much he chandged modem to a netgear with wifi speeds are still bad now called back they looked everything said there is problems still 9 yrs and frusterated

I don't think the issue you're experiencing is related to what is being discussed in this thread. Your modem seems to be setup correctly however I'm seeing indications that one of the upstream channels is struggling with some noise related problems. It may be necessary to arrange for a tech to come back out and take another look.
