Ultra HD 2160p

Is Cox able to broadcast in Ultra HD 2160p?  I currently have the Explorer 8240 DVR box.

No. No one does. Cox maxes at 1080i and except for some EOD content. For 2K/4K you will need to use downloaded or physical media.

Some Netflix shows are in UHD, you need their higher-priced Netflix streaming plan to access them.

Thanks. I read DirecTV broadcasted the Masters in 4K and plans to show 25 MLB games this year in 4K. It made me wonder about the service provided by Cox. I didn't think Cox was doing so presently.

Yeah, DirecTV is doing a great job with their 4k so far

Yeaaa.. about that. The first 5 games didn't work, because they said a "truck was damaged"  but then they said they fixed it and the 6th game was going to happen in 4K...but nope. Last night was supposed to be in 4K...but nope. Also, you need the most expensive DVR that you can only get with a 2year contract, a 4K geni you can only get by paying for a install, and sign up for one of their 2 highest channel plans. Since the content is so limited(20 titles) and technically glitchey, I would not consider them "broadcasting" it yet. Others agree, see here.

Also.. that's 4K, not 2K.  If you don't have a 4K TV, I don't think it will work.
