Ultimate Internet - Should get around 100-150 download, getting 17-22 download - WOW, very disappointed

Ultimate Internet should be getting around 100-150 Mbps download...Getting under 30.  Very disappointed in the price that I pay and the service that Cox delivers.  I ran 3 speed test through Cox Servers.  This is a Cat5 into the modem.  Already reset it.  Super dissapointed.

What model modem do you have?

Also, are you using CAT5? If your looking for above 100Mb you will need to use CAT5e and above for all connections. Also make sure the port on the computer is gigabit compatible.

Where did you buy the C6300BD? I don't see it on Cox's approved modem list.

Also, is it a upgrade to Ultimate? New install? If not, what speeds were you getting before?

It was a new install.  Cox tech installed that modem, so I would think he would only install approved modem's.  I have been getting 100+download, but not sure why it has drastically reduced.

RansZ28,

According to the tests recorded to your account your latest speed test result is 175.55Mbps down/22.95Mbps up. Was anything else changed about your configuration?

Health Edge,

The Netgear C6300BD Dual Band WiFi Modem is available only in select markets at this time.

Didn't change a thing....glad that Cox corrected whatever was wrong and speeds are back.  Zoom Zoom!
