tv/internet spliter
Hi, I am having a new bathroom added, and took out the cable connection in that room. There was a splitter and a tv in that room. My internet went down and no tv reception. I moved a wire on in the box on the side of the house, and got internet back, but not tv, just the guide with no picture. How do I get picture back? Thanks

Need some info on how your house is wired for coaxial. How many TV's and where? Where is the modem?
Sounds like the outlets may have been daisy chained and you cut off the connection before the signal gets to the TV(s). Maybe try adding a barrel connector to connect the two lines that were connected to the splitter? But that may be a messy solution depending on how your wiring is set up.

Thanks, the house was built in Gilbert in 1997. We moved in this past July, and the Cox tech came out and activated three tv's and the internet. One tv in the family room, one in the office, and one in the game room. The game room is where the bathroom is being added, and where the connection is being terminated. I moved the splitter to the office, and got the internet back on, but not the TV. Do I have to run it into a cable box before going to the modem?

There is also an "amplifier" that was added by the Cox tech, on the that is plugged in nearest to the coax

It sounds like the cabling that was disconnected for your home improvement project may have been critical to other areas of your home. If all else fails it may be time to have a technician come out and take a look.
