TiVo Roamio
I just set up Cox with their cable card and a new TiVo Roamio. I don't get all of the channels my plan calls for. Is this because many of Cox channels are broadcast in analog? Can this be fixed or do I send back the TiVo as I'm still in the 30 day return period. Then I would need to get Cox's cable box installed. Thanks for any suggestions.

TVGuy,
Did you connect an adapter for SDV channels? What are the channels you are missing?
[BTW, very few Cox STBs have analog tuners, same as your TiVo. For that reason, Cox simulcasts all analog channels in a separate digital stream. Your TiVo should receive these channels.]

What city are you in? Knowing your location, I can provide better assistance.
Also send an email to Cox.Help@cox.com with your name and address
Both the CableCARD and a SDV Tuning Adapter need to be properly authorized and provisioned for your account.
All channels have Digital equivalents so the issue has nothing to do with Analog channels.

I'm in Cheshire, CT. I get the Cox channel lineup from Meriden, CT. Cox did authorize the card and the Tuning Adapter. Three times.
They gave me a new card and adapter and I only get channels 2 thru 21. No HBO or Starz, which are included in my package.
Not even E or most any other stations. I've restarted both the TiVo and the Adapter. No difference. Thanks for any help you gave give.

Your CableCARD or Tuning Adapter is definitely NOT Paired or Authorized correctly.
Compare the TiVo CableCARD Menu screens to the following info:
http://support.tivo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2569/session/L2F2LzEvc2lkL2RyRVN0cjJt
Also, disconnect the Tuning Adapter to see if you start receiving more channels. If with the Tuning Adapter disconnected you do get more channels, then it is the Tuning Adapter that is not provisioned properly. If everything remains the same, It is most likely the CableCARD Pairing that is the issue.
Disconnect the Tuning Adapter and have Cox Re-Pair the CableCARD, Get the CableCARD working first, You should receive most of your channels even without the Tuning Adapter connected.
Then move on to troubleshooting the Tuning Adapter.

Hello - I've disconnected the cable adapter and don't receive any more channels. Should Cox re-pair the CableCard with the adapter disconnected?

No it was not resolved. I had to send back the TiVo DVR. A lot of extra paperwork and uPS shipping that I have to pay for. I'm greatly disappointed that Cox was unable to get the card matched to the TiVo. I am now going with the Contour box from Cox. I only hope it's as good an interface. The TiVo was very friendly. Long term costs will be higher also.

Pretty fortunate for Cox (for your TiVo to not work properly)

Many customers use TiVo with a cable card and tuning adapter without issue. Should you choose to use this equipment in the future please reach back out so we can assist, but I hope to hear that you are enjoying your Contour DVR.
