The Blaze

I am joining in the choir on trying to understand the reticence of Cox Cable for adding The Blaze TV to your lineup.  I have asked this question in phone calls, emails, through twitter, and now in the forum.  We spend over $2,500 a year for Cox cable which is no small amount.   It seems Cox cable is willing to add all sorts of channels to its lineup that very few if any people watch.

Additionally, Cox seems to have no problem adding news and commentary channels that definitely lean left to far left.  I believe that Cox Communications would greatly enhance its reputation as a fair and honest broker of news and opinion networks by adding The Blaze TV to its lineup.  If not, I am more than willing to switch to Dish Network for my TV viewing just to get what I want.

I certainly hope Cox Communications will relent and add a channel that addresses my political beliefs and opinions and is a counter weight to the very left views of channels such as MSNBC.

Thank you,

Orion &

He's an idiot.

I would also like to see the blaze added to the tv lineup.  I have personally requested The Blaze network through Phone, Email, Facebook, and Twitter.  I have gotten my neighbors to do the same.  I see it on Cox's Facebook page all the time and can not understand why cox has not made any progress in negations with The Blaze TV network.

Orion, I just got off the phone with cox's corporate office and the person I spoke with said that they are not negotiating with The Blaze at this time.

Please add The Blaze to your lineup!

Thanks,

Kyle

Domino, I respect your right to have an opinion and voice it as you have here.  However, rather than attack people personally, why don't you provide some constructive criticism that will enhance the conversation.  Degrading personal comments made about others does not add value to the dialogue.

" I am more than willing to switch to Dish Network for my TV viewing."

Orion 7, Why haven't you switched already?
May I remind you this is a technical forum.

Oat,

Thank you for your reply.  I respect your right to your opinion.  Have the same courtesy.  If Cox Communications was not done deaf, maybe those of us wishing to see The Blaze on the lineup would not be using this supposed technical forum for that purpose.  Seeing as Cox Communications is tone deaf and pays little heed to its Facebook or Twitter postings or to personal emails and phone calls, then I feel quite free to exercise my first amendment rights to post my beliefs in this forum.

Heh, heh. Who did I attack personally (other than Glen Beck himself)? Fact is, every time Glen Beck has one of his "call to action" days, this forum gets polluted with requests for The Blaze. Many articles at theblaze.com have sections similar to "...as part of its ongoing “Get TheBlaze” campaign, the network said Tuesday..." Why don't you compile a list of all the cable systems that carry "The Blaze"? Short list, huh? The fact that "The Blaze TV" is $9.95 per month ONLINE speaks volumes.

Domino, you are correct when you say that the list of cable companies carrying The Blaze is not very long.  However, Fox News started the same way and today dominates cable news by a long shot.  It took people like me putting pressure on Cox Communications to get Fox News added to its lineup.  The same occurred with Fox Business channel.  Both Fox News and Fox Business are running head and shoulder above its competition.

Yes, you did attack Mr. Beck personally.  It is okay to have a difference of opinion with someone.  It is okay to disagree but it is not okay to be disagreeable.

Please share with me why you oppose having The Blaze added to the Cox Communications lineup.  I certainly hope you are not afraid of another voice out there providing a different viewpoint.  After all, when Mr. Beck was on the Fox News channel he dominated cable TV in his time slot.

Beck is charging $9.95/month for online viewing of Blaze, so I doubt he is offering it for free to cable companies. Maybe if Cox offered it as a PREMIUM channel, and just charge those that subscribe I wouldn't object. But the MORON Beck is insisting on basic or tiered coverage. NO WAY!

Domino,

You are correct when you say Mr. Beck is not offering The Blaze for free.  However, neither does MSNBC, CNBC, TNT, MTV, Bravo, Cartoon Network, and so on.  Every channel that is on the Cox Communications lineup receives monies from Cox.  That is where part of our payment to the TV portion of our monthly bills goes.  I suspect, although I do not know for certain, that Mr. Beck and the folks at The Blaze would be more than amenable to working out a deal similar to that of these other channels.  Once on the air, The Blaze, just like all the other channels, could generate revenues through advertising.  After all, none of the channels are in business to give away their product for nothing.

Again, insulting Mr. Beck does not make your case against The Blaze stronger.  It only weakens it.
