storage on the web
I used to use cox web storage to hold files that others wanted to see that were too big to email, etc. Of course, I lost all those files when cox removed that feature and only notified the top level email address for each account that it was going to do so.
I would like to throw a few files up on the web again, but the only way to do that seems to be to install some humongous thing that might backup my entire system.
Is there some simple way to just upload a file like there used to be?
Thanks.

Cox Secure Online Backup is the only storage option we offer, but it does have a web interface that doesn't require you to install anything. Once you've activated the service through Internet Tools, you can use the "File Manager" at https://backup.cox.com/ to upload and download files.

Kip -
I'm trying to get into that Online Backup system, and I've finally arrived at that point you mentioned "File Manager". However every time I poke anything on that page I run smack into this huge JAVA ad that insists I download it. So I did just to get rid of it, but it's still there waiting for me to go back and poke something again.... and again. How do I get around this stupid ad?
Thanks in advance,

I don't know what ad you're referring to, but the web-based file manager does require Java - http://www.java.com/inc/BrowserRedirect1.jsp - to be installed. It just doesn't require you to download a separate backup application. I'm sorry, I generally assume people have Java already because our Enhanced Webmail and the rich-text editor on our Classic Webmail also require it.
