SLOW Streaming Netflix/Amazon (using wireless Internet)
I have a Samsung "smart tv", and a Tivo, both are connected via wireless to my internet service with Cox.
Both, are super slow, lag, or quit on me, telling me my internet speed is too slow, or my connection is lost, etc. This happens when I am using Netflix, or Amazon Prime to watch movies (or tv episodes). And it happens whether I am streaming through my TV or through my Tivo. Only one is used at at a time, no other wireless is used in my house while I'm trying to use the TV/or Tivo.
Does anyone have any suggestions of how I can fix this? (do I need to upgrade internet speed, buy better wireless adapters for TV and Tivo; connect directly to modem??? or anything else?)
Please help!

I assume your using a Cox wireless gateway? What is the model number?
Also, you mention a wireless adapter. Do you have one? If so, which? Or what model TV?
Last, streaming is always going to be better wired. Is it possible to run a ethernet to the TV area? Easiest way to fix wireless problems is not to use it.

Could be a few different things, such as channel clutter, or auto-mode selection demotion. I don't know which router you are using, but a couple suggestions would be to reconfigure the wireless radio settings, if you know that all of your devices use 802.11N wireless modes set the 'N Mode Support Required' to on. And you can change the bandwidth to 40MHz. And scan the wireless APs to make sure that your nieghbors and you are not trying to use the same control channels.

Thanks for reaching out through the Cox Forums! Have you noticed any PC streaming or connectivity problems on devices other than your TV? Based on your symptoms, my first suggestion is to connect your Samsung Smart TV to your router via an Ethernet cord and see if the latency continues.
Are you using a stand-alone modem and a stand-alone router? If so, and if your Smart TV is capable of a direct connection to the modem, you may also want to test streaming with your TV connected directly to the modem. Temporarily bypassing the router in this way will provide valuable troubleshooting data.
