Slow internet responce

are there any fixes for the new Cox email system that speeds up the loading of the emails? my system is running like it did ten years ago using a phone dialup modem. I am running windows 7 64 bit and my email response time was good until Cox upgraded their email service.

Is the email program show when it first loads or does it continue to be slow when you switch from email to email.
