Selective Call Rejection?

Is there any way to do this online so that you do not have to be at your telephone? Everytime I want to block a call, I have to load the instructions on my computer since I never remember what to do, and then go thru the process.

I have a second vacation home and use OOMA voice over Ip for my phone service. I pay about $99 a year for a giant list of features. One thing I can do is log into my account and block calls. So even when I am not at that home, I can go to the call log, see the phone numbers that called, look them up online if I want to verify they are calls I do not want, and then block them. And I can block multiple calls in just a few clicks.

On Cox, I can look online at the callers, but do not believe I can do anything else. So I pay Cox $4.99 a month along with the other charges and am wondering why I am not using OOMA at my main residence.

I could at least be happier if Cox offered this service. Hopefully someone can help.

Unfortunately Cox only offers the phone interface for Selective Call rejection. Their Business class Voicemanager UI does though.

If interested you can check it out here. Or the entire manual is here.

My Account>My Tools>Phone Tools offers you 3 choices. None of them let you block a number on your computer.

Has Cox made you aware that with call rejection, in some instances your rejection is only temporary since some callers have the ability to change the calling number at will (masking).   All they have to do is change one digit in their fake number and recall you with that.   Puts your call rejection and you on a merry-g-round.   If interested, see my post today, "Cox phone services not as advertised".

I just called Cox and was told they have a "promotion" for this service (something like $5/month), but then it goes up to the regular price of $30/month. I asked that they please pass along (to whomever it matters) that this service should be offered free. I'm getting a dozen calls a day from different "spoofers" and I've just about had it, so I'm seriously considering switching to a provider that offers a similar service for free.
