SB6183 won't bond to more than 4 channels down
Have Premium, switching out a SB6141 for an SB6183. The SB6141 bonds to 8 channels and gives full 150Mbps+ speed. The SB6183 only bonds to 4 channels and gives around 75Mbps. Self-activation on the SB6183 failed so called support to activate it, he didn't seem to understand what I meant by "only 4 channels". Had another tech try to push down the latest firmware, which rebooted the modem but didn't change the firmware version number. I've swapped the modems in and out since activation to make sure the SB6141 is still bonding to 8 downstream--it is. The SB6183 is currently hooked up.
It's fine to reboot the router any time you need to do so.
Firmware: SB6183-9.2.0.0-GA-03-29-NOSH

Looks like some one (or something) pushed the new firmware down a few minutes ago, the modem rebooted and came back up with firmware version SB6183-9.2.0.0-GA-04-37-NOSH. That did fix the downstream channel issues--it's bound to 8 now.
I was hoping for 12 or 16 channels with the new modem for congested times, but I guess Cox must only have 8 channels in my area currently? Which is fine if so, at this point I'm just glad to be back up to 8.

I looked at the modem from this end and the current status all looks fine. I don't believe all areas have upgraded past 8 channels yet, more to come in the future.
