SB6120 or SB6121 for Preferred service? Pros and Cons
Thinking of upgrading from Docsis 2 modem to Docsis 3 for speed increase on Preferred service. Any pros or cons between SB6120 and SB6121. This is for single computer and no router. Basically for browsing no gaming or movie downloads.

Beyond the included firmware between the SB6120 and SB6121 there is no difference in speeds or channels, You would not see any service difference until the SB6141 from the line.

Thanks EdwardH, That was just the kind of information I was looking for. I just purchased and installed an SB6121. The download speed did go up to 50+ mbs as indicated for preferred cap speed. So downloads might be better, but unfortunately it didn’t help the slow Cox site reaction time. But I think there is a little difference on some of sites I routinely visit.
Thanks again for help I think the investment was worth it.
