Same speed with new modem

I just bought a DOCSIS 3.0 modem today and I am still getting anywhere from 24 - 32 Mbps.  I did buy a modem on the list that Cox provides.  Does my service code have to be changed?  I've seen posts saying that has to be done.  We had the modem added by calling but not sure if it was set up properly on there end now.

I definitely would like the speed I am paying for.

One a side note, I was on twice with live chat and disconnected twice by them.  Very pissed at the *** support from Cox.

The modem is showing the correct service codes and information, the upstream levels are a little out of range bu not enough to cause those problems. Are you testing the connection directly to the modem or going through a wireless router?

I tested it both through the modem and wireless router.  Ran it now and I am getting 38 through wireless.  Will run it through modem tomorrow morning and see how it does.

Still not happen how I get disconnected twice via live chat and no apology for that.
