Resetting Modem after getting T timeout
I've heard where you some of you say that you have to go through this process of resetting your modem every time you get disconnected. Is there a reason? I only ask because everything comes back online for me after a minute or so. I feel there is no need to reset the modem(unplug for 10 seconds or more than plug it back in).
I do remember having to do that with my other modem though so it wouldn't be on one channel. Is that why or is there another reason?

Long story short, if your online, your good.
Resetting the modem does alot of things, and is basic troubleshooting for all kinds of problems. But if your fixing your problem without needing to do it, thats great, and it also gives you a hint on what might be causing the problem. Not sure what else to say. Were you worried that you were getting your internet back but by not power cycling it wouldn't be as good? Best way to find that out is just to test it. Without know exactly what is going on in your situation I can only give general advice.
