Repeating pixelation/freeze
We have three TVs. For last several weeks, we have been experiencing repeating pixelation/freezes. I noticed on one TV and rebooted box several times and even unplugged it for a few minutes and replugged. No help. Then I noticed it was on our other TVs. Last night I timed the glitches. Every 3 minutes, the picture would freeze, pixelate or jump. It is on all channels. I switched channels after one such incident, and sure enough, at the 3 minute mark the picture pixelated on the new channel. Some repeating signal is interfering or a some electrical device is failing, starting and failing again on a consistent basis. What is this? I'm getting very frustrated.

It sounds like there may be some issues with the signal coming into the home causing you to have all these video issues. I'd like to check the signal to the box, can you send us an email with your account information to cox.help@cox.com. We'll look into this for you.

Are you seeing these picture problems on all TVs in your home?

This has been going on for months at my house on all digital tvs. Even the one with out a converter box. Both smart tvs have had new cable converter boxes and new wire run to them. I am tired of begging for help from cox and I am tired on not getting the service that we were all promised. my total cox bill is over 200 a month and I am definitely not happy with my service. IF cox does not start taking care of its core users and stop wasting time sending is home security system mails GOOGLE will take us all away. Why would I let Cox secure my home when you cannot even deliver tv and internet without issues? After more than 20 years of Cox I would welcome a new player to the market who can provide good service.

You haven't really described the problem. 1 month ago you basically said "Me too" but then nothing else. You also said you were with Cox 13 years..but now it's 20? I am confused.
If it was me, I would start by looking at the signal coming into the boxes. Each box has some kind of diagnostics that can tell you that. What kind of boxes do you have?
Also, do you have internet with Cox too? Looking at the signal going to the modem can give you a clue abut possible signal problems else where in the house. You can get the signal levels of most modems from it's 192.168.100.1 page. If your interested, and that IP doesn't work, reply with what type of gateway you have.
Last, can you describe the problem? You said it effects the one with out the cable box, but does it effect it in the same way? Different kind of picture problems can give clues on the cause. Here is a page describing the different kinds. Can you match one up with your problem?

13 years at this house 7 before
I have internet cable and phone with cox. We have had some pixilation and blacking out of screen on all digital tvs. Sometime just stuttering.
Choppy black squares bad sound and freezing of screen. I would think it was just a signal strength issue if it only happened at the busy after work times but I get up at 3:30 every morning and it happens then as well. May goes days just fine and then you cannot watch TV. Cox put a splitter in my attic where the cable comes into the house years ago. so whatever signal is coming in is divied 4 ways. I live in an older neighborhood and I think it is really not in my house where the issue is.

The amount of people watch TV has nothing to do with signal strength. Just like the amount of people listening to radio doesn't effect your reception. Signal is going to the TV no matter if your watching it or not.
Black squards sounds like digital tiling. You usually don't see this on TV without a box because they aren't digital. If your seeing the same kind of disruption on your TV with and without a box, then sounds like there is some kind of interference coming from somewhere. It would be unusual for that strong inference to effect a entire area for that long, so I am thinking it would be more localized; either just your street or your house. I would suggest having a technician over. If it's a outside problem like you think, it would be free.
