Nov Internet price increase

I discover with shock that my Internet bill is up again. Now $60, up from $40 just a year ago. I am still on the same 25Mbps plan. When will the price increases end? I see no difference in service, only more of my money going to you.

It is interesting that no reply has been made to this point;  maybe cox doesn't know.

mine went up in May of this year, and now again in November and we are not talking small increases. That's a rate of every six months. You would think with all the increases this company could get some customer service, which you can not say is bad because it is pretty much non existent.

Well stink, I am going to have to find another provider.  Who can afford the increases?  I am in the new internet companies boundaries so I can lock in a price for two years. Or I will go sit at Starbucks all day and use the internet for free.

The purpose of this forum is to discuss technical issues. Ofcourse no one likes price increases, but thats a debate for a different arena. If you would really like to get your idea heard then write a calm rational letter and mail it to them. Nothing says serious like ink. Otherwise its just venting IMHO.

Rate increases are never easy.  We do strive to keep costs down however as the cost of doing business increases some of the added costs end up having to be passed to the consumer.  Don't forget the more you bundle services the more discounts you can get increasing the overall value of services received.

I would like to see the balance sheet that justifies these cost increases.  Cox has risen the price multiple times in the last year alone.  Company should probably hire a new budget person or stop paying them so much to do horrible planning.

Raising prices on Internet to offset losses in home phone charges or other outdated business model (services) is ridiculous. Bundling is just your way of pushing unnecessary services to users and making more money on things they don't need/use.

We appreciate everyone's feedback, but this is not a technical issue, and per the forum guidelines and introductory sticky post the purpose of the Support Forums is to discuss technical topics. We understand some customers may need help with their bills, and if so they can reach their local account services department at the times and numbers listed here, or can contact us by the other methods listed in the sticky post.

This off-topic post will now be locked. Thanks for posting!
