Not receiving all HD channels
I am using a Tivo Premiere DVR with a cable card and Cisco TV tuner. I am receiving SOME of the HD channels that I should have, such as the Sports and Info pack. However, I am still missing the following HD channels:
1054 Speed Channel HD
1056 ESPN HD
1057 Comcast Sports Net HD
1060 Food Network HD
1061 Spike TV HD
1063 MTV HD
1072 Fox News HD
1083 E! Entertainment HD
1085 Comedy Central HD
Oddly, I'm also receiving two HD channels that are NOT in my lineup, 1074 ESPN News, and 1098 WGN HD. Otherwise my service is fine. That is, there are no degraded channels or other indications of performance problems. I'm just missing a few specific HD channels. I've tried resetting my cable equipment, as well as restarting the Tivo and going through guided setup again. Is anyone else having (or had) this kind of problem with Cox?

COX IS ONE BIG DISASTER JUST WAITING TO GET WORSE-----AND IT DID!!!!!! Currently we are unable to get any local channels that come through our digital box (ABC, NBC, CBS, FX, ETC.). Just a couple of weeks ago it was the no email service fiasco----now this. Maybe Cox should start including how to subscribe to other TV and internet services as a service to their subscribers when they send out their whopping bills. We are absolutely, positively sick of this poor service. It leaves us saying, "What's next?" For the premium price we pay for Cox Internet and TV service, we should not be experiencing these constant service interruptions. when we call the local customer service number, we get the scripted, "we're working on it and it should be fixed momenetarily." Unfortunately if it's momentarily like the email fiasco, we'll miss out on all the sought after playoff games. While I realize this is not the end of the world, it will probably be the end of Cox service for us. During one telephone contact, our call was rerouted from the local Hampton Roads number that we dialed and the call ended up in Arizona! How many other people out there are experiencing the same problem with no local channels?

Thank you, but that's not an answer to the question that I asked. It's possible that I am not receiving all of my HD channels because I received a Cisco TV tuner without a POE filter. According to the installation guide, the POE filter is required on the co-axial input into the tuner. So I am working on getting one. I am well aware of the difficulties in dealing with Cox, but your screed does not help me solve my problem.

Unfortunately, forums such as this that don't require one to be a customer to post often have posters who post using a varying name and just whine alot. Almost like they are hired to do so. 'Nuff said.
As for your problem, the POE filter is only required when a WHDVR is in use, usually a Cisco 8642HDC. I tried bypassing my filter, and all kinds off weird stuff occurred. You might want to give your city/zip code, and I'll try to figure out if there is any frequency common to any of your missing channels.
