No Email...Slow website
My webmail won't display. Also, the Cox website has been running slow for the past 3 days. What's going on?
Thanks,
Don

Hi Don in MV,
I see that you are having some webmail issues and would like to help. When you are trying to access your e-mail where do you run into an issue? Are you getting any error messages when trying to login? So far as the site itself running slow, if you have not I would recommend clearing the cookies, history, temporary internet files for your browser. Also, trying a different browser to see if the site behaves the same; if possible attempting to access the site on a 2nd PC would let us know if it is computer-related or not.

The blank email page was happening all morning on the 9th. I finally was able to access my emails in the evening of the 9th. I cleared out all cookies and temp files in the morning of the 9th per other people's comments and Cox replies. It didn't help at all. There were no error messages. Just a list of options (webmail, pay bill, etc) on the left border and top border, with no emails, just a blank white page.
The Cox page (my homepage at work and at home) has been running slow at home and at work (two separate computers - both a lap top at home and a tower at work). Both use Explorer, but different versions. Both places use Cox as their provider, with my home service being the most expensive/fastest one offered. All other sites on my computer were running at normal speed. Cox webpage was the only one I was having problems with.

Having issues in SD as well. Outlook having trouble sending and receiving, and webmail is unresponsive...just constantly "connecting". I know my machine is fine, no settings or hardware changed recently. Most likely an issue with the Cox mail servers since I can access other sites without issue (including secure sites, etc.).

Yeah, webmail.west.cox.net is only intermittently accessible for me. If you use webmail.cox.net it will redirect you to the east server which you can access your mail through.
However, it just highlights that there's a connectivity issue with the west server right now.
edit: Just noticed that their recommended pop and smtp servers no longer use the west/east designation. I still had the old-school west designation. Just changed mine for my desktop and it didn't seem to make any difference.

Email not working again, neither POP or webmail. This has been in issue for several days on and off.

According to the social tech support message, there is an outage with the west servers, no ETA on when it will be fixed. If you can't get to your webmail, try using just http://webmail.cox.net . It will probably redirect you to the east servers and you can access your e-mail that way. That 's how I'm getting to my mail now.
